For such a beautiful evening, surprisingly not many of us attended. Those who were present had a good time knitting, stitching appliqué, and snacking on cookies and fruit desserts.
There was a little Show & Tell
Sandra P brought two.
She pieced this one about 20 years ago, replaced her original embroidery with higher contrasting floss last year, and quilted it this year.
She found this pattern on Shop Hop 3 years ago and had such fun making the sheep that she made an extra one for the back, to be the lost sheep.
Ruth brought three.
Ruth unloaded a chest to see how many quilt tops were waiting to be quilted and stopped counting after 10. Here's one that wasn't in the chest.
The backing is Dr Seuss!
This is an old Shibori Dragon Row by Row that she finished as a table runner, saying that everyone in her family has received table runners from her Row by Rows.
At some forgotten event, Ruth acquired this project that is a Nancy Chong pattern. The needle-turn appliqué was nearly finished. We all wondered why it was given up at that point. Ruth finished it.
