Other quilts

Jean S. has been working on her to-do pile

This one is flannel.

Ruth's Holloween runner - made entirely from her stash!

Sandra P.'s late queen-size wedding quilt for a nephew

Leslie's in-progress Hobo quilt

Ruth demonstrated the Disappearing Hourglass block

1. First, make an hourglass block.  The block in this photo was made with 7" squares.

2. Make four cuts, each 2 1/4" away from the center, two vertically and two horizontally. (If your hourglass block is smaller, use a smaller distance from the center for your cuts.)

Here, the pieces are a little separated to show the locations of the cuts.

3. Rotate the pieces and sew them back together

Here are some examples.

This is what happens if you use the same technique with a four patch.
