For the Next Meeting

Our next meeting is on Monday, November 11. 

We will be making a craft--pocket panels to convert a mug to a tool caddy. Jean Seamster will be leading this. Please bring the following with you:

7 x 11 strip of fabric for top
6 x 18” strip of fabric for pockets
7 x 11” piece of batting
8 x 12 1/2” strip of fabric for back
1 3/4” x 25 strip for binding

You will also need a sewing machine and general supplies. Bring cutting supplies as well if you don't pre-cut your fabris and batting.

At the November meeting I will also be handing out the challenge fabric and patterns. 

There are 12 people participating--and there is room for several more if you'd like to join in. Cost is $5. Finished quilts or tops will be shown in March. (And it you are not at the November meeting, I can give you your fabric and pattern at the December meeting.)

Additional news

Lydia and Cathy will not be at the November meeting, so if you have quilts for Children's, please hold off on bringing them until December.

For December we will have our annual holiday gathering. Bring finger food to share. We are also having a mug rug exchange--bring four mug rugs, one each for the four seasons. Terry and Jean are leading this.

We still need another member for the steering committee. It's not a lot of time or work--and is a great way to get to know some of the Needle & I members better.
