Next Week

We have a meeting next Monday, September 9.  This month we will be working on creating kits and/or blankets for Children's, finishing the red, white & blue quilt in the works, and working on our own projects. Please bring what you need for what you would like to do--cutting mat, ruler & rotary cutter. Sewing machine. Fabric.  Ruth has some fabric for kits--and I believe will also bring some patterns or ideas for quilts for Children's.

At the last meeting, people also signed up to bring supplies for the remaining 10 bags for Mary's Place. If you did not sign up, but would like to bring supplies, please feel free to. They will take whatever we want to give.

Please bring $5 if you want to participate in a challenge. For $5 you will get a yard of fabric and a block pattern. You use that yard and the pattern, along with fabric from your stash, to make 9-12 blocks for a quilt. You will get the fabric in November--bring your quilt back in March. We will vote on favorites then.

October is the Auffle. Hope and DeAnna have volunteered to chair this.

WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR:

1.  November - gift/craft idea/tutorial/lesson

2.  December - Holiday Party (suggest finger foods and mug rug exchange--but volunteer and you can decide :)

3.  Steering Committee members--three new members needed in January. Being on the Steering Committee is a great way to get to know a few members better. It does not take much time--mostly meetings a week or so before the regular meetings--and those do not happen every month.
