Mystery block

Most of us arrived with our pieces:
4 - 3 1/2" light-medium HSTs
2 - 3 1/2" light-dark HSTs
2 - 3 1/2" dark squares
3 1/2" x 6 1/2" dark rectangle

Lydia also showed us three different ways we could position four of these blocks to create strikingly different quilts.

Challenge Quilts revealed

Arkansas Crossbows

Lisa was given the purple fabric and she really didn't like it, but look how nice it turned out.  And the baseballs are a bonus.

Jean had the darker green fabric; the border came from a Janet Kime border book.

Antique Tiles

Ruth had the green fabric.

Teri had the lighter green fabric.

Crown of Thorns 

Gail had the darker orange fabric

Leslie had the gold fabric.  Those are tons of HSTs making up the sashing.

Check out the hearts she quilted inside the large triangles.

Castle in the Sky  

Lydia received the solid red fabric.

SHOW & TELL (part 1 of 3)

Jean 

brought 3 drawstring-bag bunnies

and a quilt for a baby shower.  It has a minke back.

is knitting a scarf in two colors

 has a donation quilt from the pattern she presented last year

and a stash-buster from Roxanne Carter that only taken a month to make!

and two darling gnomes using Lydia's instructions, socks, rubber bands and rice

a bag that Lydia had made for each of the ladies in their group

and finally a travel case for her quilting tools
