October Meeting, outdoors

We were back in Hamlin Park, despite the weather.  Lydia took a video of the hail storm that preceding her arrival.

It was cold and wet so business was mostly limited to Show & Tell.

Hope showed us a location-themed quilt she made for her daughter in Hawaii.  Even the backing has a surfing theme.

For a more locally appropriate project, she showed us the charming mittens she made.

Lydia made a bunch of cosmetic bags as bridesmaid gifts. As a timely bonus she made matching spring-closing mask bags.

Lydia also had a donation quilt.

Leslie went a little wild with a Bonnie Hunter pattern on her scraps.

This bed-sized quilt is double-sided (check the upper left corner) and for her own use.

She had blocks left over, and left over, and more left over.

4 donation quilts later, she still has blocks left over!

Sandra brought a Queen.  And the backing is rows of cute pumpkins.

Gail brought a felted sweater ready for up-cycling into mittens.

And a quilt she made with Bunnies by the Bay fabrics.

Ruth got a quilt back from the quilter. Do you remember this?  It was her challenge quilt from the reveal in March.

Cathie brought a quilt (left) and the beginning of a new quilt (right).

Leslie brought three quilts and a stack of fleece for gloves and hats.

Time for talking and for cutting glove and hat pieces.

Outdoor & Distanced July meeting

It was a successful event in Hamlin Park. Masking and social distancing worked well.  Special thanks to Lydia for taking pictures.

Gail showed us two quilts.

Jean brought one quilt.

Terry has been spinning while locked down.

Ruth made a bag that has a frame, a zipper, and stays open.

Lydia has made an amazing 400 masks and models one to show how well the t-shirt strips work as ties.

Leslie has been staining her deck, working from home and sewing up a storm! She made these quilts from lots of fabric and things she won at the Auffle.

Jean R made three quilts for Children's Hospital

Gail is trying to downsize.  She brought an old quilt, boxes of books, and baskets for others to take.

Barbara brought two quilts.  Aren't the pigs on the back of the first one cute?

GUEST: Patti W., a former member, brought three quilts to show us.
