Ruth and Lydia showed two options for finishing the piecing on last month's demonstration.

Lydia has tried this pattern using 4 fabrics.

Please bring fabric and sewing items for donation--and bring money and stickers or pens for tickets. If you can get there a little early to help with set-up, that would be great.

Other Items/Reminders

Challenge Quilt: If you want to participate in the challenge quilt, and have not already signed up, please bring $5 for a yard of fabric to the October meeting. I will bring the fabric and patterns to the November meeting. We have 12 people signed up so far--so it should be a good challenge. Quilts will be due next March--so you will have lots of time to work on them. (The challenge is to use the fabric you get, along with your own fabric, to make a quilt using the pierced block pattern you will also receive.)

Upcoming Meetings:

We still need volunteer(s) for the November meeting--presentation/tutorial/lesson about some kind of craft idea for the holidays.

I believe December has chairs for the holiday party.

Steering Committee: We need to plan the next year--and we need three new steering committee members. Please let the group know if you are interested.
