April Meeting

Show & Tell

Jean has a new purse.  The dark parts are cork fabric.  Even the tassel is cork!

She also has finished piecing a two quilt tops.

The first is a nice study in values.

The second is made from asterisk blocks using Kate Spain pre-cuts from her stash.

Even the back looks great!

Shawn was back for the demos and brought along the collage quilts she's been working on.

Dragons!

A Pink Cadillac!

And a Red Shoe!

Sandra brought four quilts.
A Roxanne Carter quilt, that had Constitution-print for a backing.

One of two quilts for donation.

And a quilt for her son & family, where each bird represents one member of the family.

Leslie showed us her amazing Drunkard's Path quilt.

Here's the pile of ten more quilts we've finished for donation.

Our Program: Demos, that were snowed out in February

Shawn showed us Quilt-as-you-go.

Leslie showed us a slick way to do bindings and get mitered corners.

Charlene demonstrated English Paper Piecing (EPP).

April meeting next week

We had a fun time making name tags at the last meeting.

At Monday's meeting we will be having member demonstrations - quilt-as-you-go, binding, and English Paper Piecing will be demonstrated. Additionally, we will have a discussion about options for activities for future meetings.

For May we plan to have a tea party. Bring finger food to share. We have one electric pot lined up--if someone has another, that would be great. Plan to bring something to work on. If someone would like to volunteer to come up with a game or activity, that would also be fun.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.
