Much progress was made on name tags and other projects!

Finishing a name tag.

What a nice set of table mats for a door prize!

We had an ironing station too!

SHOW & TELL

Lydia's friend wanted a bright quilt...

and she got a bright back too!
This was a challenge from long ago that Barbara just finished.
These two donation quilts are from blocks her old guild embroidered

Leslie got some of these blocks from our give-away table or from the auffle.  She added more.

Dorothy made this for donation from one of the kits we assembled in January.

Lisa had several items:
Childrens' bibs

A St Patrick's Day table decoration.
A bunch of Guatemalan needle-turn appliqué blocks, some assembled.

Jean's stylish purse!

Needle & I meets next Monday, March 11.

Regarding the snow-cancelled meeting in February:

Last month we were going to have demonstrations--the tentative plan is to move those to the April meeting.

For our March meeting (from Leslie):

This month we plan to make name tags. I believe there will be copies of the pattern for the Needle & I spool name tag there--and I will bring some copies of the patterns for name tags I found on the Wedding Dress Blue blog site.

To make your tag, you will need some pieces of fabric--background, some scraps for piecing, a piece for the back, and some binding (maybe a leftover strip from an earlier project?). I can bring batting scraps.

We will have 4-5 machines there to share. For the name piece, we can use pens to write names on them (I'll bring some) or, if you want to embroider  your name, you should do that beforehand. Use your background fabric of choice and, for the attached patterns, you'll have a space of about and inch by 4 to put the name in.

Also--I can bring 2 machines, and Gail will bring one. If we can get a few more, that would be great. Let me know if you can volunteer to bring one.

If you already have a name tag--bring it--and another project to work on.
